STRIKES

A strike is a period of time when a group of workers deliberately stop working because of disagreement about pay, working conditions, etc. People launch strike when their demands are not fulfilled by dialogue.
The strike has a very short history. It is originated in England. In the factories, workers were badly treated. The workers could not tolerate this. They united strikes are also common in Nepal.
There are many reasons for striking work. There is always a conflict between the employer and employee in one point. Workers want to have their wages increased. They appeal to their masters to give them what they want. But the masters do not listen to them.
A strike has its disadvantages too. Poor workers are put into great difficulties if the strike turns out to be unsuccessful. Many of them lose their jobs. Many of them do not get wages during the period of the strike. Trade and industry are largely affected. Public are also suffered too much. Strikes cannot be successful unless workers got good organization.
Students sometimes go on strike and refuse to attend school or college. It does harm to harm. The strikes have been a common problem in the world. In Nepal, not only the mill workers but also the students, teachers and employees of corporation also launch the strike. It is not good to go on strike if the demands can be fulfilled by dialogues.
